Acting classes are widely available in the Triangle, but Act One Act Now begins with the idea that young actors learn about theater best by being in a play. So in each class we move beyond exercises and scene work to develop and present a full production. We emphasize well-known works of the American and English stage, and we bring these works to audiences throughout the community.

Director

Director

Director John Paul Middlesworth has directed the drama program at St. Thomas More School in Chapel Hill for eleven years. He has a graduate degree from UNC, where he wrote on contemporary American drama. Beyond his work as director he’s a busy actor himself, being part of recent productions at The ArtsCenter in Carrboro and UNC's Forest Theatre.
